I think I found my new go to mechanic shop. I brought in a car with an b intermittent issue that didn't show a code and 2 dealerships plus a other shops couldn't figure out. Ulmers blamed the driver (me) because they couldn't figure it out. The team at ProTech spent real time finding the issue then chasing down the real solution. They talked me through it as they searched and ended up actually fixing the car and not just throwing parts at the problem. I have been looking for a mechanic i can trust and these guys have proven themselves trustworthy to me.

I was referred to ProTech and they did not disappoint. They were very professional and their facilities were very clean. I loved to text updates as they progressed through the service process. They are known for their honesty and quality work. I would recommend them and will have them service my vehicle again

Had my truck towed there when it wouldn't start,warranty company recommended them. They told me it started and they scanned the computer couldn't find anything wrong,so they made me pay $308 . Also told me I needed a transmission service for $550. I was told that if it refused to start again they would give me a break on repair Took it to Chevrolet dealer, they did transmission service for $280 and they also did a deep history scan and found the 3 fault codes that protek said didn't exist. Called this morning and was told that they did a scan and kept repeating the same crap about not finding the code fault that Chevrolet did and they weren't going to refund any money. Total rip off,almost double the cost for transmission service and not willing to put some effort into finding the problem, instead just overcharging like crazy.

Great place to get your car repaired. Everyone is very nice and professional. I went in with my 2024 Chevy Blazer because I was told by the Chevy Dealer after an oil change, I was going to need New Brakes. Protech conducted an inspection and it was determined I didn’t actually need NEW BRAKES! Shannon and her team saved me at least $1500 if not more. It cost me about $90 for the inspection, but it was worth it, they saved me a lot of money in brakes at this time.

I went into ProTech expecting to drop $1,200 on a new alternator for my truck with electrical diagnostic suite ran. They ran diagnostics and called to tell me I didn't need one — the alternator was failing because of a bad battery and some electrical issues underneath it. They could have just replaced the alternator and taken my money. I'd already made peace with spending it. They told me the truth instead. Adam, Shannon, and the front office were great throughout. Friendly, clear about what they were finding, and they called me for approval and updates at every step. I never had to wonder what was happening with my car or what it was going to cost. Additionally I never felt pressured to purchase any additional services. But Adam was awesome enough to gather a quote for everything so if I decided at any point to come back in I knew what I'd be facing, cost wise. They're not always the cheapest, though they're competitive on just about everything. On the stuff that runs a little more, I grew up learning you paya fair price for quality work — especially when the people doing it have quality character. You get what you pay for, every single time. I ended up having other work done that my car actually needed. Easy decision after that. I've finally found a shop I can trust, and I don't think I'll be going anywhere else as long as they're around. If you're reading this while you're contemplating getting work done — this is your sign.

I always know I can trust protech to work on my car. They do everything in a timely manner, while also assuring your car is safe to drive. Even during a tornado warning and terrible storm, they were able to get a piece my car needed, fix it on the spot, while even offering me a ride home if needed. They are the best!

I was visiting my daughter 5 1/2 hours away from home and I knew something was wrong with my brakes. I talked to them on Tuesday and they got it in to look at the very next day and had it fixed by Friday, which I was happy for because I was to head home the following Monday. It ended up being brakes and rotors on the back end. I am so grateful for their service.

As always I love working with Protech! They don’t make me feel like as I’m getting taken advantage of because I’m a woman. I feel comfortable working with them on my own and not having to have my husband deal with them as I have so many times in the past. They treat me wonderfully and they do a fantastic job on my car every single time! I won’t go anywhere else. Edit: They might be a little more expensive ( not much) than other places, but I know that the work is of the highest quality and they show me just as much respect as they would anyone else who knows about vehicle maintenance. I am willing to pay a little more for that kind of respect. We just got a second car and it’s going to them for anything that needs to be done as well.

Getting ready to sell my 2011 Subaru Forrester, the temperature outside was 95°. Not a good time to have air-conditioning system problems. The ProTech team squeezed me in, got my Forrester back on the road quickly, air conditioning fixed, and all at a great price point!

The review from Mary Ndao is totally FALSE! Her Husband dropped off his 20 year old Subaru Forester for an inspection. The car was in really rough shape and didn’t move. Upon the inspection it was determined that the transmission was a total loss, I felt sorry for his situation and didn’t charge him the inspection charge. He should have had the vehicle inspected before he bought it. Sorry he felt this way but we were not rude toward to him at all!

They did testing and informed me that nothing was wrong with that. I did need a few others things though and with how prices have lately been I was surprised how cheap the service was.

Bought my car from Wyler & only had it serviced there for the first two years Ive had it as they offered free oil changes. After that was up, I brought my car here for the next oil change. They discovered my under engine shield was missing most of the hardware and was just kind of wedged up there. I hadn't hit or run over anything to sustain this damage, suspected mishandling from previous shop. Ive had protech handle the replacement shield, and returned a month later for more work that my car needed. Their pricing aligns with market value and theyre sweet people. I appreciate that they show pictures with the inspection so you know theyre not BSing you with problems that are found.

Purchased my own tires and made a appointment to get them installed. Called 2 days before to confirm appointment since we were leaving on a trip shortly after. Said yes you’re on the schedule. The day before near closing time protech called me asking what tires I wanted to purchase? Confused I told them I bought own quality name brand tires which I confirmed to them 2 times. They said they won’t install customer supplied parts not even a headlight bulb. My guess is they just want a large markup on tires. I’ll say again I confirmed the details 2 times on 2 separate phone calls. They wasted my time leaving me no time to get my tires installed at another shop that communicates better. Protech might be a good shop but they wasted my time and gave me the run around. Will not return.

What Wonderful service. My daughter’s car broke down. I contacted ProTech hoping to get her car in for service expecting delays as I had been told were ongoing from other automotive repair companies. I was so pleasantly surprised when they said that they could get the car in that day to determine the problem. By the end of that first day, we knew what was wrong and they had a plan for repair the next day. It was repaired and she was on the road again. Everyone was so nice so helpful. Lauren walked us through the process. I can’t say enough about how grateful we are and what an amazing job they did.

I cannot speak to the longevity of the repair as it was completed one day ago. But it seems the AC compressor issue has been fully resolved. We shall see how long it lasts but thankfully the full replacement came with a 3 year / 36k mile warranty. So there is piece of mind from Protech. They are quick to answer, honest about their pricing and findings of vehicle issues, and speak with transparency no matter what. The cost could not have been much lower anywhere else for the same work so you might as well pick Protech to ensure it will be done right with quality components.

Took my vehicle for repair on rear differential. Claim was being processed through extended warranty company. Protech had my vehicle from July 1st until August 4th when they ultimately refused to finish the repair. They put the original differential back on my car and it was towed to another repair facility. I filed complaint with BBB when Protech refused to refund me the $100 deductible I had paid to them already as they did not repair my vehicle. They made false statements to the BBB about my vehicle and the circumstances. Their last statement to the BBB in writing said that I had difficulty understanding the level of mechanical expertise involved in this matter. As a female consumer this was a belittling statement. Do not do business with these people.

We’re very sorry to hear that you feel disappointed with your experience. We understand how stressful it is to be without your vehicle for an extended period and we regret that the situation with your warranty company placed you in this position. Unfortunately, we are required to follow the guidelines of your extended warranty provider and their inspector’s findings. In this case, the warranty company determined that uneven tire diameter was the cause of the rear differential issue. Since tires were not covered by the warranty and replacement was necessary to prevent immediate failure, we were unable to move forward with the repair without addressing that first. The $100 charge was a fee for the diagnostic testing that was completed on your vehicle. This testing is required to properly evaluate drivetrain concerns, especially on all-wheel-drive vehicles. We also want to address your concern about our communication. At no point was it our intention to belittle or disrespect you. We value every customer equally and take pride in being a female-led business that works hard to support all drivers fairly and professionally. We truly regret that this was not the outcome you had hoped for and wish you the best moving forward with your vehicle.

After submitting my request for repair to the Under Body Shield on my Honda Civic, I realized I had better call the next morning to verify a payment option. I spoke to, I believe Lauran, who so kindly explained & gave me the link to Synchrony Car Care, to apply for their credit card. I was denied, which didn't exactly surprise me, I have been going through a very long, stressful time, for many reasons, financially. I called back, asking if I could use my friend's Visa Card for payment. I was told they couldn't just accept me walking in with a credit card that didn't belong to me. I understood why that would not be acceptable. I asked, if we both came in, the day prior to the service, my friend showed her ID & card, would that be alright. She said that would work & for the first time in quite a while I had peace of mind about something. I was able to drive my car to ProTech the next morning, where I arrived an hour earlier than my appointment. I was immediately greeted by a small group of friendly faces, information verified & escorted to the waiting area. Within less than a half an hour, Lauran came in, explained what they were able to do to get me on the road, but the shield needed to be replaced to properly keep it up. She handed me an estimate of the cost, asked if I wanted her to order the parts, which I replied 'not at this time'. She warned me about having my oil changed & that the zip ties would have to be removed then replaced. I said I'll be bringing my car to you because you already know the story. My experience with ProTech & the Entire Crew was, to say the least, a refreshing, most satisfying adventure & I am Ever Grateful for their Kindness, Determination to get me mobile again & their Professional, Quality Work!! I'd give you Six Stars, maybe you should think about adding that option... Sincerely, Judith Cole I'll be back!! 👍

I had an oil change scheduled with Protech and included with the service was a thorough multipoint inspection along with pictures. The inspection identified some concerns I needed to address and Protech was quick to notify me with the inspection results. They are very transparent with the customer and the pictures go a long way in supporting what they've found. I like the fact they informed me first and gave me the opportunity to decide what repairs to make. The oil change went smoothly and did not take long at all. The payment process was easy and quick. I would highly recommend Protech to service your vehicle.

Don’t waste your time or money on this place! Sometimes the power steering and door locks freeze up, and when that happens, the car won’t drive properly. The shop initially said the issue might be electrical and they’d need to dig into the wiring, which would be an additional cost. Then they called back and said they could fix the problem for $2,780 by replacing the transmission control module (TCM). We agreed to move forward. The next day, they called again and said they had to remove the entire transmission just to access the TCM. In the process, they drained the transmission fluid and said it looked discolored, which raised concerns for them. After that, they changed course and said they didn’t want to replace the TCM after all. Instead, they told us to come pay $980—for essentially nothing—and then suggested we just sell the car on Carvana. Are you kidding me?! This is shady as hell. ⸻ Let me know if you want to make it sound even more professional for a complaint or legal route.

This company scammed me on money. I ordered a part and they asked for more money on the way for different things. They sent fake tracking info and claimed it arrived but to the wrong airport. I called the airport and they don’t even deal with import packages. When I asked for shipping prof snd info they could not give any so only lies

Friendly staff greeted me. My vehicle was assessed & the results were provided electronically in a link with photos of the problems. They went over the report with me verbally as well & fielded all my questions. The work was done over several hours. The provided shuttle service was convenient & greatly appreciated. I was shuttled home & then, back to garage for pick up. If needed, the waiting room is well maintained with tables, work spaces, TV, various drinks & snacks. Best of all, there is access for charging or plugging in devices. My vehicle service included back brake job, replaced serpentine belt, tire rotation & oil change The work was completed within five hours. I like this garage vey much & will return when needed

Definitely a fan of Pro-Tech Automotive they are not out to nickel and dime you had a broken wire to my PCM they were able to fix it saved me close to $800 they do very good work very quickly and had no problems answering the 25 questions I had for them highly recommended will use again for sure. 2020 ram 1500

After getting four new tires, an oil change, rear brakes + rotors done, and my check engine light resolved, Protech Autocare took care of me. They used a online portal for service estimates, and diagnostics of my vehicle making communication clear on what needed to be done. They don't pressure you into making decisions but rather give you options and advise what's best for the longevity of your vehicle. My check engine light was simple fix which they could have taken advantage of me but they did not and instead they explained it was a simple reset of the computer's timing and swiftly fixed the problem. Pro Autocare's staff was friendly and personable when I came in to drop off and pick up my car making it a desirable experience.

They didnt diagnose the problem, still having the same issue as before eventhough I paid them $2600+. Was told they drove it down the road after they worked on it between 65 and 70 mph. If that was the case they would have felt that the frontend was still badly shaking. Was told the difference was night and day...not true. I could have guessed at the issue and saved alot of money for what I paid them.

On this most recent service the problem was more body work than mechanical. Having hit a vertical curb at 35 mph, Protech first analyzed the mechanical aspects of my vehicle, which thankfully only required an alignment, and then went about replacing the cowing and protective under engine shrouds that had been ripped apart. My vehicle now rides smoother and much quieter. I can always count on Protech to return my vehicle on time and back to road worthy.

Well I have an update. Since writing my first review and saying I love this place, I've had a couple bad experiences. My Jeep had the death wobble. My wife said it had done it twice to her. It had never done it to me. They suggested some work and I paid them $1,500. When I got it back I couldn't drive it. It wobbled every time I hit a bump. I decided not to drive it all winter. It was covered in my driveway. I decided to take it back to them to see if they could finally fix it. They quoted me $8,700. No way I was paying them that after the first 1500 that made it worse. I took it to a Jeep dealer. Told him my problem and immediately he said with that model and year you need to replace the steering damper with an aftermarket damper strong enough to handle the modifications. He said whatever you do do not buy a stock damper. He also noticed the drag link was rusted. When I look back at the paperwork from ProTech they had replaced the damper with a stock damper and replace the Drag link that was now rusted. The Jeep mechanic said no wonder it got worse. He said you don't put a stock damper on a modified Jeep. Unbelievable. It took him less than 2 minutes to tell me that and he didn't charge me a penny. He even helped me look up an aftermarket damper and it cost about $200. So much for the $8,700 Protech wanted to charge me in order to guess what was wrong with my Jeep. The Jeep dealer said put some new tires on it change out the damper to an aftermarket product and change the rusted out drag link fix some of the lines that were too short after they lifted the Jeep and it should run great. Said it shouldn't cost me more than $1,000. Yes I should have taken it to a Jeep dealer the first time. I wouldn't have to replace the parts Protech put on and charged me $1,500 to make my Jeep undrivable. -----‐------- I have a new mechanic. It is hard to find someone you trust. Our car wouldn't start. After testing the electrical system they noticed another issue that could be causing the problem.They had the part on hand and fixed it. We got the bill and it was under $100.... What? Never in my life have I taken a car to a mechanic and it only cost me $80. Labor is usually over $100. They didn't repair things that weren't necessary to run up the bill. We will be back. We were treated very well and I appreciate them for their honesty. Very refreshing.

Not happy at way bald man treated me I was told 175.00 just to flash my bcm then he calls me tells me 180.00 more then calls me again 120.00 more which was ok because my fiob was broke I told him what it was flash bcm I feel he just juiced me for the 180.00 I had the car scan by my son I told him that I told him all bout the car where bcm was in car he had to ask me twice about these things I'm disabled a vet I live on 737 .00 a month so u see why I'm up set yes my cars a piece but it's all I got the way he acted toward me when I drop the car off I would have took my car and left my advice u can't use a salesman doing your service. Desk cause he may get you extra money but you will lose regular people because they feel scammed God bless u have a nice day cause my bills didn't get paid cause u did

We had no way of knowing your key fob was dead before you brought the car to us and the BCM can not be programmed without a functioning key fob. So we contacted you and explained the situation and gave you the pricing if we moved forward with the Key fob and programming. At any point you could have declined the services and not had us do it if you did not want to pay for our services. We stayed in contact with you the whole time it was here. We are sorry it ended up being more than you expected, sometimes it is out of our control what our vehicle needs to fix your problem.

Protech Auto Care would not provide any sort of quote to replace a water pump in a 2017 Toyota Sienna. Of the four auto shops that I called, they were the only ones who would not provide even a ballpark quote saying that they would need the vehicle to come in and do their own diagnosis. I did not ask them to diagnose the vehicle. I asked them to replace the water pump that is obviously going bad. This is the first sign of a predatory practice (the unwillingness to provide rough estimates). It's a pretty simple process. The auto mechanic book "Mitchell 1's ProDemand Flat Rate manual" says this is a 5 hour job. So all you have to do is take the shop's dollar per hour rate then multiple it by 5 then add in the cost of the water pump and new coolant. It's pretty basic math. Their unwillingness to do this is pretty unprofessional. Additionally, when I pointed this out to them, they said it would cost somewhere "between $12 and $12,000." So, I don't think this is the kind of mechanic that you want to work with. Just my opinion. All three other shops quoted me everything that I asked for with the understanding that it was a rough estimate. I went with one shop, their final price was slightly over, I paid them, and we all moved on with our lives.

We try to not give pricing for repairs over the phone because most of the times when a car comes in that we gave a price for a repair without seeing the car first it is seldomly correct. We do not want to give a customer a ball park figure for a repair to just get you in the door and then have to tell you it is going to cost more or its a different repair. There is more involved than just book time labor and a part. We would rather be up front and honest with our customers and give them the exact total a repair is going to be.

I’m from Columbus and was looking to buy a used car from a nearby dealership. I had a very limited timeframe, so I called ProTech as soon as they opened to see if they could get me in that morning to do a used car inspection. Lauren was very helpful and said they would fit me in. Once the inspection was complete, Lauren called me to review the findings, send over a report with pictures, and provided an itemized estimate for the repair items. The dealer had previously done their own inspection, but after showing them the ProTech inspection report, they confirmed their findings and agreed to make additional repairs. The cost of repairs the dealer made more than covered the cost of the inspection and gave me confidence to purchase the used vehicle. I strongly encourage anyone purchasing a used vehicle to have ProTech inspect it first. They are extremely detailed and will ensure that you are negotiating from a well informed position. Their staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating, and the inspection cost was very reasonable, and I would happily pay it just for the peace of mind.

The most negative auto repair experience I've had in my life. "Performed Complimentary Health Check Inspection" - Charged $89.95. of Complimentary Service. Zack Refused to give an itemized list of charges IE Parts, labor hours, labor cost per hour, ect. I was Charged $521.04 for diagnoses of Power steering Pump, AC Blower Motor, and 3 faulty coil packs. I told Zack that the Power steering pump and the Blower motor needed to be replaced over the phone when I made the appointment and dropped the car off. Zack charged me $309.32 for his tech to put a scan tool on the car and determine that the three coil packs were bad. When I challenged the cost of service repairs $3,837.18 (Parts provided by warranty company) Zack stated "BWM's are expensive maybe you shouldn't have one if you can't afford the repairs". I took my BMW to Hytech Automotive 1 mile away in Amelia and they completed all of the repairs for $1,694. Yes, less than 1/2 of what Protect wanted to charge me for the exact same work to be done.

Be aware that their $59.00 bumper to bumper coupon may cost you more dependent on the make of your car. Because my VW Tiguan took six quarts of oil I ended up paying $75.83 for this bumper to bumper service. I have no problem with the quality of the service, but I do have a problem with the deceptive nature of the coupon. No where on the coupon does it state a limit of quarts or coupon is only good for up to five quarts. This reeks of "bait and switch" and they should make the language on their coupon state it is only good for five quarts.

From start to finish everything was handled with professional care and assistance. I love how all recommend services were available online for my review and priortized in what was needed and what was just recommended. He took the time to do a detailed inspection of my truck. I had no idea that I had an axle seal leaking which if not repaired I could have been left stranded, thank God he caught when he did. I make a big deal out about this is because I just had another tire store replace my tires and they didn’t catch this leak which leaves me disappointed with that tire shop. Not only did they get the work done before the promised time, it was all done at an excellent price. It’s rare to find a repair shop come out under budget and the day promised. I’m extremely impressed with Protech Auto. Also, the waiting area was extremely clean, as well as the work areas, it’s obvious that everyone there is committed to excellence. Great place to get your oil changed when they have a special but any other item is more expensive than a dealer- tune up 217 more than Joseph Chevrolet, fix breaks both front and rear 864 dollars more- there were a number of issue with my truck (2008) but item by item every service was more than a dealer - even the most simple things were grossly over priced. Buyer beware. - before you use these folks check any place else on how much the work cost - don’t get ripped off.

When you came in to pick your vehicle in we tried to talk about prices and you did not want to discuss it. We know for a fact that dealerships are using aftermarket parts on older vehicles and with your truck being a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado they are most likely not putting the best quality parts on. If you call them for a phone quote on an older vehicle they know you are price shopping for the lowest price, not the best quality. So it is not really comparing apples to apples with the service we are offering.

I took my truck here to have a fuel connector replaced as it was leaking. I was unable to find the correct connector online and all the ones I purchased were the wrong ones. About an hour and a half after dropping the truck off, I received a call from the service advisor who ho-hum’d around stating “well the fuel pump is on the top of the fuel tank and in order to see what is going on we will need to drop the tank. With the age of the truck and the straps and bolts being rusted, those might need replaced in the process.” He then quoted over 600 dollars to replace a leaking connector going into the fuel pump. At this point I didn’t know whether to laugh or just hang up on him to come pick up the truck. I explained to the service advisor that the fuel pump is close to the top of the tank but IS accessible without dropping the tank as I did it just fine multiple times in my driveway without a lift. I told him the ONLY reason I took it to them was because they could probably source the fuel line connector easier than I could. If they could get the part it was literally a 10 minute fix. The service advisor then proceeded to debate with me stating they would have to drop the tank to do the work. I told him to forget it and I would pick up the truck because you do not have to drop the tank and I’m not spending 600 dollars for a 10 minute fix. The advisor then stated that they’ll take another look and call me back. Another hour goes by and they call me back. The advisor stated that the reason they couldn’t get to the fuel pump was because they had the truck on an alignment rack and not a lift and couldn’t see things as well. The cost then dropped in half. Reluctantly, I agreed and they replaced the fuel line connector. So we’re clear on this, they wanted to charge me an at minimum an extra 300 dollars’ worth of unnecessary work because they didn’t have the truck on the right equipment to properly do the job. Had I not attempted to replace the fuel line myself I would have been none the wiser and they would have performed work that didn’t need done and would have completely overcharged me. When I picked up the truck, they of course had a list of additional work they felt needed to be done and listed things that weren’t working. Some of them were blatant lies, such as the windshield sprayer not working. They worked just fine. They stated things like coolant, power steering fluid and air pressure were low. However, they never even bothered to top the fluids off. While they at least did fix the fuel connector, I will never take another vehicle to this place. The fact that they were going to overcharge me because they didn’t have the truck on the correct equipment to do the job did it for me.

Daniel, we are sorry to hear your experience with us was not the best. With your truck being a 1986 Ford F150 the frame was severely rusted and the only lift that is safe for a vehicle with the frame rusted to be on is our drive on rack. This is because our technicians have to be under the vehicle while on the lift and with the frame rusted there is a risk of something breaking or coming apart while a technician is under it. We could see there was fuel coming from the top of the fuel tank. Normally we have to drop the tank to be able to see the top to verify where the leak is coming from. Once the you told us what you had previously done and the location of the connector we tried to get between the top of the tank and the truck to fix the connector. But there could have been a fuel leak from multiple things at the top of the tank and we don't ever guess with, what could be leaking.

Only had an oil change done, but had them look over an SUV I recently purchased and they did so for free and let me know about some minor issues with it. Also had pictures in the inspection report with details like fluid conditions with pictures of the test, those and the info was very helpful. The staff I came in contact with were professional and friendly. The shuttle driver was personable. The service was done well, and they were honest about my concerns. They said my brakes were not in need of replacement. They did not try to sell me to get new brakes when I had brakes that were ok. I appreciate the honesty. As a consumer, that is what I want and a fair price if I should need work. Today 2 months later I went in with a new concern. Once again the staff go above the usual to make your visit professional, but personal. They diagnosed my vehicle before any repair. My car needed minor corrections and a mechanic drove around with me to see if there were still concerns. The wait area was well done and customer friendly. We have finally an amazing family owned business to service our community.

Firstly I wanna say I went here to find a lower price for a decent quote I had already gotten the service on avreage was around 60-120 dollars the quote I was originally given from a different shop was 108 and I wanted to try to get it to 80-100 I come tho the shop and there charging me 380 for the service. It didnt help that i just had an inspection on my car done somewhere else and work done that was around 1200 along with being in highschool so now working full time and not making much. The front desk lady was very rude I belive it is probably because I'm a teenager in highschool and a girl that they decided to have a predatory price it's honestly pretty disgusting. Wouldn't recommend way over priced rude and lazy the quoted me before looking at my car. I honestly have no clue how there reviwes are good so I had to make the call to come back to the original autoshop ans the offered to lower it to 98 so protech over charged me 4.2 the rate I would've gotten that's highway robbery. 😭

I am assuming this is Cecilia who came in for the wheel stud repair? We do not have a James B that was in recently. But we are sorry you were not happy with your experience when you came in. When you called to make the appointment you did not request a price before you came in. We have never once seen your car or serviced it, so we can only look up what the book time is to replace the part and price out the job. If a technician gets the car in and there is a faster way to do the repair we will charge less if we can save the customer money. We have no control over your previous repairs at another shop and how much you spent there....? But we know we are not always the cheapest shop in town. We employ top quality people, use top quality parts, and back our repairs with a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty on parts and labor. We never want a customer to feel as if we are being rude to them; we are women at the counter and pride our selves in making women who come in feel comfortable; so we are sorry you felt this way.

Worst experience ever! I had new brakes and an alignment done. Long story short. They forgot to tighten lug nuts on a wheel. Thank God I don't live far from their office and had no highway driving. They didn't even offer a free oil change or anything for my inconvenience. Not that I would use it. I'll NEVER be back and will also make others aware of this unacceptable practice. UPDATE... The owner (Bill) was gracious enough to call me and not only offer me a very genuine apology but also a generous gift certificate to come back for a future service. In actuality, the call would have been good enough but everything was appreciated. That's what customer service is all about. I'm sure I will now return. Thank you Bill.

Horribly overpriced. Charged $95 for an inspection that told me what I already knew was wrong, then quoted $1800 to replace just two coil packs. The entire job could be done in an hour with $50 worth of parts.

Hi Mitch. Sorry we did not measure up to your expectations. I have reviewed your invoice and I see that it was in fact recommended to replace 3 of your 6 coil packs, and it was left open for a possible computer failure. These coil packs have been know to internally short and cause internal engine control module failure. This is something that we must make our customers aware of before any work is started. The estimate was not 1800 for just coil packs, it was a worst case scenario if the computer did not respond and also needed to be replaced with the new coil packs. I don’t like protech. I lived in the neighborhood behind protech for many years and myself and my neighbors all felt that protech was rude, extremely costly, and I’ve never had a pleasant experience with them. I once brought my car here to get looked at and the mechanic would not look me in my eyes or talk to me to tell me what was wrong with it. He for some reason, could only look my boyfriend in his eyes and tell HIM what was wrong with it. Incredibly disrespectful and rude. The year is 2023 make it so that women feel comfortable bringing their cars in and aren’t treated in sexist ways. This is just one off-putting experience of many. There is a pretentious energy that runs rampant at this auto shop. So if you don’t like pretentious energy or mechanics who can’t look you in the eye as they speak to you, or who charge as much as they can charge out of you, don’t go here.

Way over priced! $85 to diagnose the issue. $45 part. $140 labor for the very simple labor. I should have just payed the $85 for the inspection and fix the issue myself. Why charge the inspection fee if you are going to fix the issue? Is this a new practice? I get it if customers will take the solution home or to another mechanic, but ProTech did the work.

Protech Autocare did an excellent job fixing my issues and alleviating my concerns. They replaced my leaking water pump and actually noticed that a engine belt was fraying and that it needed to be replaced too. I was worried about my brakes but they did a deep dive into them and assured me that they are in great condition. Lauren and the team were extremely professional and courteous. I will definitely be bringing all my cars back here and recommend them to all my friends! Came back to Protech with a few electrical issues on my Jeep and oil change - they did a quick job of diagnosing issues and fixing the problems! They are the best of the best!

Protech did a great job working on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL. I had been having AC issues and tried working on it myself but couldn't figure out what was wrong. They were able to get it figured out and fixed quickly and at a good price! The Jeep is also our non-profit's and they helped with the tax exemption and also being military had an extra discount for my service. Will definitely be using them for any other needs. The staff was also great with communicating to me throughout the process.

I have taken my truck here on multiple occasions. The first time was for warranty work they swapped out a motor and when I got it back the horn wouldn't work because it was not hooked back up there were loose bolts that I could remove with just using my fingers. 2 of my motor mounts were not tightened down all of the way and had a mechanic near me fix thise problems as the shop is over an hour away from me. I took it back for another issue of it not starting and they changed some things and when I went to pick it up the lady at the desk tells me that when the tech went to start it it wouldn't start and he cleaned something and it eventually did. I had it back for 3 days and the issue was not resolved I went to start one day at work and it burst into flames so I had it towed back to shop and they said they couldn't find any fire damage but yet there are wires melted my hood will not close properly cause of the cable being melted and frayed and multiple things that you can clearly see just from looking at it. They had it for 2 weeks this time I called to get updates and they said the tech was working on it but couldn't get it to recreate the issue but when I drive past on my way home from work before they are even closed my truck is sitting in the parking lot. I got my truck back on a Friday and Monday the issue has happened twice once while at home and another time while out with my children leaving us stranded.

Because of getting royaly shafted, the lack of service and my distrust of the local dealership. I found myself at Protech for a second opinion. After experiencing TRUE customer service from the professional staff at Protech and having them confirming my suspicions. I've come to realize that the level of customer service I've grown a custom to from the dealership in my opinion, was criminal and incongruent... I'm a Marine combat veteran with a bad disposition in general and these fine folks at Protech have sent me on my way everytime with a smile and the feeling of total satisfaction. I have not one complaint and HIGHLY RECOMMEND this auto service center. They are in my opinion fair in every way. While in for service, I once saw the staff talk an elderly woman down explaining that her car was fine and up to date on the maintenance and that her car required no service. 😳 Sorry, not sorry Jeff. You LOST A LONG TIME CUSTOMER. I bet I pass half a dozen or more service centers and go about ten miles out of my way to get to this place. I and my husband have taken our cars here for years and have always received the best possible service. I had an old Blazer with a complicated electrical issue. I had taken it to 3 different car places and was told by all 3 there was nothing wrong before bring it to ProTech. Considering I had been stranded at work late at night about 6 times in two weeks, they were obviously wrong. Pro Tech not only figured out what was wrong, they did it within about an hour and I had my car back the next day. I have taken all my vehicles there ever since. They are always reliable, quick and friendly. I will never go any where else. Fantastic place!

They quoted me over $8000 to swap an engine in a 2000 Chevy S10 I only paid $250 for. They tried to make it sound like I was getting a good deal "because they only use factory new parts" I even told them I would buy my own engine off ebay for $600 (what the engine's are ACTUALLY worth and going for) but they refused to put it in unless I used 'their certified factory new parts.' No idea how a place like this is still in business.

Fairly certain they used the wrong oil for a standard oil change. The car would accelerate slowly and would sound as though it were struggling. This started only after visiting the shop and stopped when I changed the oil out.

Hi Brittaney. We confirmed that the correct oil for your 2012 Honda Civic with the 1.8L engine does in fact call for 0W20 engine oil which is what we used at both of your last two service intervals. As an ASE Master Certified technician myself, I have never heare of engine oil causing a power loss, even if that were the case. I do however see in the notes during your inspection that it has a transmission fluid leak that could potentially be causing a problem as well as several other items that are due for maintenence. Our records show this transmission issue to have been documented since 10/26/22. Last records also states a possible problem with rear brake calipers. Either of these two items could potentially lead to your above stated concern. Please give us a call so we can help you further. Thank you.

I recently had Protech replace the engine and radiator in my 1997 f-350 and they did a fantastic job getting the truck running properly and gave me a list of different repairs to plan for in the near future. They also repaired a rusted brake line and a rusted transmission line leading to the radiator. I’m very happy with Protech! The customer service and great mechanics are top notch! I’ll be using Protech for all future vehicle repairs and maintenance. -Tim

I'll first off say what I liked. The inspection of the vehicle is a really cool system, as it includes photos and explanations for the lay man. They were really fast to respond too, and communicated quickly. What I didn't appreciate was the multiple attempts to add things that weren't necessary to the vehicle's health. I came in for a vehicle vibration and you want to sell me an air filter and oil leak detection test? The vehicle is almost twenty years old, I'd be more surprised if it didn't leak oil. All around this is a nice place if you're bringing a vehicle for warranty work or aren't too money tight. If you need help with the old beater you bought used, you might want to look elsewhere.

Update: Just one more thing that we would like you and anyone who reads this to know....The reason for a complete inspection process goes far beyond trying to "upsell" anyone. We just want to completely inform our customers of everything that we see. This perhaps could affect whether any money is invested into a repair. Sometimes it becomes decision time as to whether it's time to replace a vehicle or not. Last week we had a customer that needed an alternator for a battery light. Upon further inspection, we found tires to be completed worn, and worse, a rusted frame beyond repair. With those findings, we were able to spare them of the alternator expense so they could put that towards the vehicle replacement. We would rather our customers know the big picture before any decision is made over us making a sale. Again, we greatly appreciate your business, your feedback and are always looking at ways to improve to better serve our customers.

Asking for license plate number or VIN number just to get a quote for work? Does it get any sketchier? And no, its not odd I didnt have to give that info to anyone else. Its not needed and its weird you asked. edit: I provided year, make, model, AND edition. Asking for my plate number is not normal and 5 other shops were able to provide a quote without my plate or VIN.

Shannon, We take pride and care, to be as accurate as possible when quoting repairs and maintenance on vehicles. The license and/or vin number will allow us to give an accurate quote. Cars are not as simple as they used to be when researching parts and prices. We used to be able to look parts up simply by the year, make, model of the vehicle, but now to give the customer to most accurate price we have to have the VIN. We apologize you felt it was intrusive but we want to be as honest and upfront with our pricing to our customers as possible.

Updated review: My previous review must have been dealing with someone not normally in charge of scheduling. They did excellent the recent 2 times all around with scheduling, speed and accuracy of work. Financial plans for big work have been very affordable.

Very poor customer service and very poor lack of communication with resolving maintenance mechanic issue obligations and don't plan to ever go back to Pro Tech Auto Care for anything and he will make sure not to recommend none of his family relatives or friends to Pro Tech Auto Care done doing business with Pro Tech Auto Care.

Mr. Abbott, when you brought your truck in you asked us to diagnose a problem with your truck; that you thought was a transmission problem, and contact your carshield warranty. We inspected and confirmed your truck had a misfire problem and we showed you the misfire count on our scanner. When we called your carshield warranty they said there was no coverage for spark plugs. When we called you to discuss what we found you got upset because we did not tell you that you had a transmission problem. We can not confirm you have a bad transmission. There were no codes stored indicating a transmission problem and the transmission fluid was not dirty. We are not going to tell you your vehicle needs something when it doesn't. We apologize you were not happy with what we found but we pride ourselves on being honest and transparent with our customers. All we did was inspect your concern you brought your vehicle in for and informed you of our findings.

Was very happy with the service, with one exception. They did not check the air in my other tires to make sure they all were inflated to the correct air pressure.
